Friends of Vale Square membership - Open to everyone and gives you year round access to both the formal and wild gardens. Subscription fee is £180 per household per year. Whether you live nearby or simply love the gardens, we'd love to have you as part of our community. To contact us, please click the link below.

Make your event something to remember
Each summer a marquee is set up in the gardens, creating a lovely space for members and visitors to gather and celebrate.
The gardens provide a safe, dog free, clean place to hold parties and events.

Over the years, the gardens have been used to create unique and memorable events for members and visitors. Whether its birthday parties and picnics, wedding receptions, life celebrations, outdoor yoga or Easter egg hunts, the gardens continue to be one of Ramsgate's most special outdoor spaces.

They are also some of the most historic green spaces in the Isle of Thanet, with roots stretching back almost 200 years.
Vale Square sits within a conservation area, with most of its buildings carrying listed status.

There is a book called The Vale written by local resident Stephen Davies, described as an intricately detailed history of the Square.
